Outdoor area cleaning in Bratislava: yards, pavements, terraces, parking areas and the space around waste containers. It is charged at an hourly rate of €25 and we confirm the scope in writing before we arrive.

What the service covers

Paved surfaces: sweeping and washing pavements, yards, driveways and parking bays. Larger terraces and balconies including the railings. The area around the entrance and the steps in front of the building. The space around waste container stands, which an ordinary clean skips even though it is the first thing a visitor sees.

Seasonal work: clearing leaves in autumn; after winter, salt and grit off the paving; after building work, mortar residue and dust off hard surfaces.

After an event or a move: clearing the yard and surroundings after a company or family event, removing packaging and small waste, washing the surface.

How the price is calculated

At an hourly rate of €25 per hour of work. Outdoor surfaces cannot be priced by square metre the way a flat can: at the same area, the difference between paving that needs sweeping and paving with dried mortar on it is several times over.

So when you order we need two things — a photo of the surface and what is on it. From that we estimate the number of hours and confirm it in writing before we come. If it turns out during the work that the estimate was low, we get in touch and agree it with you; nothing is quietly added afterwards.

What we need on site

Access to water and electricity. A paved surface cannot be washed without water, and dry sweeping is a different, considerably less effective job — we say so in advance if there is no water available.

If the area is behind a gate or inside closed grounds, put in the note how to get in. With parking bays it pays to agree a time when they are free: working around parked cars means both a worse result and more time.

What we do not do

We do not do gardening — no trimming, mowing, planting or tree pruning. We do not work at height on façades and we do not wash roofs. We do not clear snow on a contract basis; a one-off by arrangement yes, but winter maintenance as a regular service we do not provide.

We do not use a pressure washer on surfaces that cannot take it — old paving with washed-out joints, wooden decking with a weathered surface, or render below ground level. If a surface looks borderline, we say so and propose a gentler method rather than damaging it.

When it is ordered most often

Three periods in the year repeat. The first is spring — after winter the paving is left with salt, grit and a film that sweeping will not remove. The second is autumn and leaves, especially at houses with mature trees. The third is handing over a property: the yard and the driveway are the first thing a buyer or new tenant sees, and their condition shapes the impression before the interior does.

With companies there is also a regular arrangement — the area around a shop or office once a week or once a fortnight, with a monthly invoice with payment terms.

Dates and weather

A free slot is usually available within 48 hours. Outdoor work does depend on the weather, though: in rain and at temperatures below zero we do not wash hard surfaces, because the result will not last and water on paving freezes. In that case we move the appointment to the next suitable day at no charge, and we get in touch beforehand rather than on the doorstep.
