Karlova Ves has around 33,000 residents, and from a cleaning point of view two things define it: the large panel complex on Dlhé diely and the proximity of the university campus in Mlynská dolina. The first determines the type of flats, the second the mix of orders.
Dlhé diely
This is an extensive panel development from the 1980s and 1990s, built on the slope above the Danube. The flats are mostly two- and three-room, 50 to 75 m², standard in layout and almost always served by a lift. Because the development is uniform, the time estimate is accurate and a slot can be planned without margin.
The orientation of the flats is characteristic: a large share have a loggia looking out over the city or into greenery. A loggia is cleaned as a separate item at €15, and it is ordered more often in this district than elsewhere, because it is genuinely used as living space rather than storage.
Shared rentals and students
The nearby university campus means a high share of shared rentals, and with them a particular type of order: cleaning at tenant changeover, most often in summer and at the turn of September. Such a flat tends to have more occupants than rooms, and most of the time goes on the kitchen and bathroom rather than the living rooms. If you are ordering a clean when handing back a shared flat, it pays to add the inside of the oven and the fridge.

For shared flats, where there are more flatmates and the common areas take more wear than in a family flat of the same size, we recommend either the higher category or an extra hour at €15. We always say so in advance, not after the work is finished.
The slope, lifts and access
Building on a slope means the entrance is often raised and steps lead up to the door even where there is a lift inside. That does not matter for an ordinary clean; for upholstery cleaning, when the technician carries a machine, it is information we need beforehand. The same applies to parking — Dlhé diely has residential zones and visitor spaces are limited.

A free slot is usually available within 24 hours and we charge no surcharge for the distance from the centre. You book online, confirmation arrives immediately, and you can pay by card or in cash after the clean. On a regular interval the discount reaches 20% and the same cleaner comes each time.

When ordering it is enough to state the floor and whether the entrance is step-free. Products, mops and the vacuum cleaner are brought by the cleaner — we need nothing from you but access to the flat.
The second typical order in Karlova Ves is upholstery cleaning. Both shared rentals and family flats here tend to have more upholstered furniture than average, and the sofa is often also a bed. Sofa cleaning starts at €35 depending on the number of seats and takes four to six hours to dry, so we recommend booking it for the morning — by evening the furniture is usable again.
If you are handing a flat back at the end of the academic year, it pays to order the clean several days ahead. In June and at the turn of September demand in this location is markedly higher than usual and slots fill faster than the usual 24 hours.
