Malacky is a district town in the Záhorie region about thirty-five kilometres north-west of Bratislava, connected to it by the D2 motorway and the railway. Some residents commute to Bratislava for work, others work in the local industrial and logistics zone — and what both groups have in common is that cleaning is not something the week leaves time for.
Two different kinds of housing
The town consists of two worlds. Panel and apartment housing with standard layouts, where cleaning is predictable and the price follows the floor area. And family houses — from older single-storey buildings to new builds with underfloor heating, two bathrooms and a utility room.
For a house the price is calculated not by room count but from the usable area, the number of floors and the number of bathrooms. A second bathroom is a separate room in time terms, not an extra, and a staircase between floors also means extra work.
Prices for flats
An ordinary flat clean starts at €46. The basic scope covers the kitchen, bathroom and toilet, the rooms, the hallway, the floors and taking out the rubbish. The inside of the oven, the fridge and the extractor hood is ordered separately, because it requires longer contact time for the products.
For a house we prepare an individual price — send us the area, the number of floors and the number of bathrooms and we will confirm the amount in writing before the order. A survey is free and we carry one out only on request.
Older houses and hard water
In older housing, two things come up most often: limescale and appliances. The water in this region is harder, so deposits on taps, in the shower and in the kettle build up faster than in central Bratislava. We dissolve them with an acidic product given enough contact time; a scouring pad and abrasive powder scratch the surface, and dirt then clings to it even better.
For boiler rooms, workshops and garages attached to the house we agree in advance whether to include them in the scope — they are spaces with a different kind of dirt from the living area.
Commuting and key handover
We travel to Malacky from Bratislava, so we plan appointments well ahead and usually group them into a single day. If you cannot be at home, we collect the keys before the clean and hand them back at an agreed place afterwards; it is an extra at €8.
For regular cleaning we agree a fixed day and time, so you do not have to adapt each time. Most households around Bratislava choose a fortnightly interval.
New builds and floors
In the new development, vinyl, laminate and large-format tiling with underfloor heating prevail. All three tolerate only a minimum of water: the warm surface evaporates it before it can be wiped away, and the floor is left with tide marks. We therefore work with an almost dry mop and do not use a steam cleaner — steam penetrates the joints to the laminate core and the edges of the boards lift.
Handing back a rented flat
In the apartment housing we also handle cleaning when a rented flat is handed back. The landlord checks the appliances, the bathroom and the state of the walls first — exactly the places that a move leaves neither time nor energy for.
In this case the scope covers the inside of the oven and the fridge, descaling the bathroom, washing the windows and the floors once the flat is emptied. A record of the clean tends to be a useful argument in a dispute over the deposit.
